About Power Station Guide
Power Station Guide is a small, independent website that helps people choose a portable power station for home backup, camping, RV and van life.
What we do
Buying a power station is mostly a numbers problem: how many watts you need at once, how many watt-hours you need overall, and which model fits that at a sensible weight and price. We focus on answering those questions clearly.
How we research
- Manufacturer sources first. Specs come from manufacturers' product pages, user manuals and support articles. We link our sources at the bottom of every article.
- We show the math. Runtime and sizing estimates use stated assumptions (for example, about 85% conversion efficiency) so you can redo the calculation with your own numbers.
- We're honest about limits. We do not currently run hands-on lab tests, and we never claim to. Real-world results vary with load, temperature and battery age.
- We keep pages updated. Specs and product lineups change; each article shows when it was last updated.
How we make money
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never change the specs or the math. See our affiliate disclosure.
